K12 Tuition at SCA Spokane

Tuition and Fees:

Slavic Christian Academy operates as an integral and inseparable part of the NWASBC. The primary support for the operation of SCA will come from tuition payments paid by parents whose children attend the school; however, tuition payments will not support the entire school program. Therefore, the school is also considered a “donor-supported ministry.” As such, in addition to fundraising projects conducted by students, staff, and parents—additional financial support, in the form of financial gifts, and donations of equipment, supplies, and services will be solicited from members and friends of NWASBC and SCA, as well as from corporate partners, and the community at large.                        

 Tuition Payments:

The SCA District Office may collect tuition that could be paid in full at the beginning of the school year – annual tuition payment (the total tuition and fees paid in advance before August 10, the family will receive a 5% tuition discount); or semester payment at the begging of I and II semesters (50% of tuition paid before August 10 and 50% paid by February 10: 2% discount); or paid quarterly or by 12 equal monthly payments - withdrawals from your bank account (August though July). If Annual/Semester payment is not received by the due date, the discount amount will be removed.

Monthly tuition payments are due on the 10th day of each month or the next business day. If a student is enrolled at mid-year, tuition is then pro-rated. Those paying directly to the school will be assessed a $30 late fee if payment is not received by the scheduled due date and any NSF activity will result in a $30 Non Sufficient Fund Fee.

 Ministry Discounts: Local campus school pastor, senior pastors, appointed pastor assistants, lead choir directors, youth and teen ministry leaders, Sunday and language school directors may receive up to 30% in total discounts. Indicate your church ministry: ☐_____________________ * Verification is required and 15 ministry service hours/year at SCA.

 Scholarship/Award: 9-12th only for SCA returning students:

☐ Scholastic $250 per semester (minimum GPA of 3.7 or above for the last semester) .

 Financial Aid available for low income families upon request (tax verification and two last checks required for both parents):

☐Early Award (~25%) is due by March 30th.  ☐ Regular Award (~15%) is due by June 30th.   ☐ Late Award (~10%) July 1- thereafter. *A family total discount may not exceed 30%. *Financial aid recipients volunteer service hours (lunch assistants: one day/year=6hours): 25% - 10 days, 20%- 8 days, 15%- 6 days, 10%- 4 days, 5% - 2 days.

 Enrollment Process: (1) You will receive your 2013-2014 Enrollment Confirmation upon review and processing of your Enrollment Application. (2) Please review and submit enrollment cancellation and/or any questions to the SCA SD Office within two weeks upon receiving your 13-14 Enrollment Confirmation.

(3) After TWO WEEKS, your 2013-2014 Enrollment with SCA is confirmed and valid as issued.

 Withdrawal:

During the course of a school year at Slavic Christian Academy, circumstances may arise that require a family to withdraw their children. Parents may withdraw their child from Slavic Christian Academy for any reason. Parents may also be asked to withdraw their child: for failure to meet financial obligations; due to academic and conduct probation; or lack of partnership with Slavic Christian Academy.
